This Portland kitchen remodeling project was designed to meet the needs of active homeowners who wanted an open and easy to navigate space for family meals and get-togethers in their Raleigh Hills home. Our team moved a stairway that led to the basement from the kitchen to allow more creative, useable kitchen space. Originally, the area around the staircase was very narrow with a hallway that opened into the kitchen, but flexibility on the part of the homeowners and our remodelers allowed use to envision a larger structural change.
A 5 foot x 10 foot marble island now stands majestically in the kitchen. A double carriage style pantry door flanks one wall while custom made shaker cabinets and wainscot surround the space. There are now built-ins galore in dining and family space, offering immense storage and usability. A buffet, entertainment center, fireplace surround and book case further create a spacious great room effect for the active family. Top of the line appliances make it a breeze for a creative cook.
Carriage style doors into the laundry room and weaving a new oak floor into the existing formal living room space completed this star job. For more information on how we might help with your remodeling dreams, contact us.
