Tim and Jill Leitner:
Tim and Jill got started in construction in 1995. We purchased a historic home that was in extraordinarily bad shape. We remodeled it for ourselves and fell in love with the creativity and the process. Our company was born from those labor pains of love for remodeling in 1998.
Our beginning was meager but rewarding. We started with small jobs since Tim was the one that bid, sold, and physically executed each project. As the company grew in busyness, age and reputation we began to bring on crew members and project managers. Our small, local company now employs 3 full-time and 1 half-time project manager, 3 members of the office staff, and 1 crew member. Our projects include whole home remodels and additions as well as transforming kitchen remodels.
From the beginning we wanted Leitner Construction to be a company that gives back. It started with engaging with My Father’s House (MFH). MFH is the largest non-government family transitions housing west of the Mississippi. It is important to us to make sure that the money donated has a good return. MFH has a 90% success rate in bringing families out of houselessness.
We also are involved internationally with The Neo Fund. The Neo Fund does Micro-Lending to the poorest of the poor in Nicaragua and India. These loans help the very poor start a business to help bring them out of poverty. The best part is that since it’s a loan the money gets reused multiple times helping to bring more people out of the worst type of poverty.
Fun Tip:
Women are who The Neo Fund targets for lending! These ladies have the greatest ROI and pay back the loans!
